James Moore Announces July 2026 Firmwide Promotions

James Moore recently announced multiple promotions across the firm effective July 1, 2026.
Cheri Swan, CPA, has been promoted to Tax Director at our Tallahassee office. A member of the firm since 2017, she received a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida State University.
Allison Benton has been promoted to Audit Senior Manager at our Gainesville office. A member of the firm since 2020, she holds a Master of Accounting from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Catawba College.
Alex Gartland, CPA, has been promoted to Tax Senior Manager at our Ocala office. Alex joined the firm in 2021. He earned a Master of Accounting from Saint Leo University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Missouri Valley College.
Marlea Hawkins, CPA, has been promoted to Tax Senior Manager at our Tallahassee office. She has been with James Moore since 2018 and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration – Accounting from Georgia Southern University.
Christie Renaker has been promoted to Tax Senior Manager at our Ocala office. Christie has been with the firm since 2021. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Florida.
Brackston Martin, CPA, has been promoted to Audit Manager at our Daytona Beach office. Brackston began his James Moore career in 2020. He received a Master of Accounting from Stetson University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management from Daytona State College.
Nick Merckling has been promoted to Audit Manager and is based in our Gainesville office. He started with the firm in 2021 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Flagler College.
Nick Mercuro, CPA, has been promoted to Audit Manager at our Daytona Beach office. A member of James Moore since 2022, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Information Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Virginia Tech.
Vicki Sherman has been promoted to ACS Manager at our Gainesville office. Vicki joined James Moore in 2022. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from the University of Florida and an Accounting Fundamentals Certificate from LSU Online.
