Brackston leads audit engagements from planning through completion, overseeing engagement teams, managing budgets and timelines, and serving as a key point of contact for clients. He helps develop team members and reviews their audit work for quality and accuracy.
The first half of Brackston’s accounting career focused on municipalities and audits subject to Yellow Book and GASB requirements. He then moved into the construction and commercial teams, with more focus on FASB standards and accounting applications unique to the commercial sector. Prior to changing careers to accounting, Brackston worked directly with clients one-on-one, identifying and prioritizing their needs. This experience helped him develop his approach to creating one-on-one relationships and serving as a trusted advisor to his clients at James Moore & Co.
