Ken is a strong advocate for student athletes in the NIL realm. In the article, he explains what he thinks will happen as NIL begins to take shape. He adds context to items such as how taxes might affect the world of college sports—especially when recruiting in states with no income tax and how such states might take advantage of the legislation. Ken also provides input on how each situation is unique and must be treated as such.
Nadia spoke on the risk associated with name, image and likeness. Among the questions she raised is what might happen if a student-athlete were to forget to mention a sponsorship that they received (and the implications this may have).
