As a certified public accountant in Florida, Karsten has nearly ten years of audit and accounting experience. As an audit manager, his responsibilities include running and supervising audit engagements from start to finish, building client relationships, planning and performing fieldwork, reviewing staff work and facilitating team development.

While his experience spans several industries, Karsten’s primary focus is serving the firm’s nonprofit and higher education clients. He has extensive experience in grant agreements, testing for compliance and other aspects of audit and single audit work. He also enjoys the challenge of assisting university colleges, departments and direct service organizations in their compliance and financial reporting requirements.

Outside of the office, Karsten is a board member of the North Central Florida YMCA and a volunteer mentor with Take Stock in Children.
