If you know where to look and how to leverage the information it contains, it’s also a blueprint for your nonprofit’s financial success. <br />Here are a few of the best practices we recommend when creating and monitoring your nonprofit’s budget. <br />Best Practice #1: Budget for multiple levels and purposes. Entity-wide budgeting is important for guiding your nonprofit’s strategy and overall financial health. <br />But you should also drill deeper with budgets for each department within your organization, as well as for your individual programs.
