Donna Brown

A certified public accountant in the state of Florida and a partner with the firm, Donna has over 30 years of experience in the accounting profession and is a key member of the ACS Services Team.

Donna’s passion lies in outsourced accounting and controllership for clients in a wide range of industries, allowing her to understand both their individual complexities and the universal issues they face. In addition to helping them through traditional accounting services, she also enjoys advising them regarding other aspects of their business, such as interviewing, hiring, and working through leadership issues. Donna’s prior experience as a controller and bookkeeper for many years also gives her in-depth understanding of how accounting impacts the everyday life of a business owner, and she puts that knowledge to work for her clients.

While Donna has served clients in all areas, her emphasis has been with nonprofit clients, including those that receive state and federal financial assistance subject to Government Auditing Standards, Florida Single Audit Act and the OMB Super Circular. As such, Donna is a key member of the Nonprofit Services Team. She has taught courses addressing auditing standards and single audit requirements for the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Government Finance Officers, as well as for associations and community organizations. She has also addressed topics associated with board development, financial management, and internal controls for various businesses and associations.
