Ed graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1970 and joined a local firm in the Tallahassee area. In 1973, Ed moved to Gainesville and joined James Moore & Co., P.L.
"I chose James Moore & Co., P.L. over other firms because of the open and sincere atmosphere," Goolsby said.
As Ed progressed in the accounting field, he gained valuable experience as a previous Member-in-Charge for the Information Systems Consulting and Administrative Services departments, and through working on financial statements and tax engagements. Today, Ed supervises various audit and tax engagements and is the Member-in-Charge of Client Accounting Services for the Firm. This department provides bookkeeping and consulting services to small business clients.
In addition to his Member-in-Charge responsibilities, Ed provides superior tax, audit and business consulting services to clients. His vast experience enables him to provide outstanding service to clients in a variety of industries, but he concentrates on the automobile dealership, real estate, construction and restaurant industries. After completing the State Certified Audit course, Ed also consults on sales tax issues.
