Suzanne E. Forbes, CPA

After four years experience in public and private accounting, Suzanne joined James Moore & Co., P.L. as a staff accountant in 1987. She was promoted to Accounting and Auditing Member/Owner in 1995. Although she works with clients in a variety of industries, she devotes her energies toward the real estate, condominium, timeshare, governmental and nonprofit industries. Her responsibilities include planning, supervision, and completion of all aspects of accounting and auditing engagements. As a Member/Owner, she has complete and final responsibility for client engagements, including delivery of financial statements and tax returns and communications with management and board of directors.

Suzanne also spends a significant amount of time serving clients as a business advisor. She has advised in areas such as business acquisitions, mergers or dispositions, profit enhancement, cash flow analysis, cash management, business forecasts and projections, financing and investor options, and accounting systems design and controls.

In addition, Suzanne accepted responsibility for development of the Firm's Accounting and Auditing department in 1997. In this capacity, she manages the day-to-day operations, annual internal inspections, and training of personnel in that department. She is also responsible for communicating changes and updates to accounting and auditing standards to the Firm. She has authored articles on accounting issues and has conducted numerous training courses on these topics before professional audiences.

Suzanne attended Stetson University where she received a Bachelor of Business Administration with a Major in Accounting in December 1986. In 1987, she obtained her Masters of Accountancy as well.
